Risk & Regulation
Our focus is around all aspects of Risk – Risk Strategy, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Credit Risk, Capital Risk, Regulatory Risk, Liquidity Risk, Technology & Security Risk, Risk Analytics/Quantitative and Counterpart Risk. We cover all phases of the Risk lifecycle from Risk Strategy through implementation encompassing risk framework and architecture, programme management, architecture, risk technology, risk quantification, and meeting regulatory requirements (Basel III, Solvency II). Our regulatory offering is generally around sourcing consultants who keep up-to-date with emerging regulatory obligations (FSA, BoE) to help deliver front to back implementation of regulatory requirements across all asset classes and includes Regulatory Compliance, Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Regulatory Audit.
Operations Our focus is around Documentation, Reconciliation, Settlements, Trade Support and typically we work on roles such as business analysis, change management, project & programme management, process re-engineering (lean/six sigma) and outsourcing across all asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, Exchange Traded Derivatives, OTC Derivatives etc. Technology
Our focus is around providing banking or insurance specialists with experience of defining and delivering end-to-end technology solutions for major change programmes. Our candidates have sound working knowledge of leading vendor packages in Insurance, Capital Markets, Retail Banking and Asset Management, as well as major Finance system packages and also have relevant technology related qualification, such as TOGAF or ISEB.

Finance Our candidates are likely to be a qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with post qualification experience in a finance function, audit or consultancy within Financial Services. Typically our candidates have experience in some areas specific to Financial Services such as Product Control, Basel II, Solvency II and Actuarial but overall have a good understanding of accounting procedures and processes within banking or insurance including O2C, P2P, Budgeting, Consolidation, Management Information, shared services, outsourcing and experience in supporting decision making at a senior level (CFO).
Mergers & Acquisitions
The Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team deliver recruitment solutions which cover the entire spectrum including synergy reviews, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, takeover defence, carve outs, post-merger integration and commercial and financial due diligence.
Normally we look for candidates with previous strategy consulting experience, ideally combined with some commercial financial services sector experience from either:
• A deal-focused consulting firm
• A pure play strategy consulting firm
• The strategy department of a leading financial services company
